New Photojournalism Book “Infidel”

British photographer and filmmaker Tim Hetherington recently released a new photography book called “Infidel.”  The images were shot during the filming of Hetherington’s recent documentary “Restrepo,” which follows an American Army platoon stationed in Afghanistan.

While the book follows the lives of the same platoon as the movie, “Infidel” stands alone as a separate work.  Rather than chronicling the fighting done by the soldiers, Hetherington’s book looks at the platoon’s lives away from the front lines.  It is described by The New York Times as the platoon’s “family albulm.”

The book is currently on sale here from Chris Boot Books.
